Siemens Energy Manager of Bid Management in Alpharetta, Georgia

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Manager of the Bid Team within the Controls and Digitalization organization, you will lead a high performing team through the end-to-end bid process and guide the creation of compliant, agile, value-based proposals that drive business outcomes for customers.

As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for driving the Bid Team’s overall performance, fostering early engagement through a partnering culture, encouraging peer reviews, promoting constructive feedback, implementing lessons learned to reduce risk, and maximizing value to increase win rate!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Orchestrates all bid/capture activities during or prior to the proposal phase and post-submittal activities.

  • Articulates the sales / pursuit strategy to lead internal stakeholders through the bid management process, ensuring value-based offers that mitigate exposure to technical and/or commercial risk.

  • Drives the quality of outputs through each stage of the bid process, instilling a culture of review, constructive challenge, and refinement at every stage to maximize value and increase win rates.

  • Owns the development and continuous improvement of the Bid Management process and toolset based on repeatable business through lessons learned.

  • Maintains and understands market trends, conditions, and challenges to align to the needs of current and prospective clients.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of developing and positioning business solutions experience through value based proposals.

  • Excellent understanding of Bid Management processes and structures (Power generation industry knowledge a plus)

  • Proven experience leading cross organizational teams.

  • Experience in positioning solutions and value to all levels within an organization through proposal documents and presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
