Position: Product Development Engineer, Inks & CoatingsJob Location: 1051 Bloomfield Road, Bardstown, KY 40004Duties:•Research, design, and development of product that meets both corporate and customer standards with emphasis on sustainability. •Develop and manage the ink development process, from conceptualization to production and delivery. •Plan, design, develop, qualify, validate, and stabilize process for the new product development. •Act as a subject matter expert for critical ink and coatings development processes and qualification work. •Provide daily coaching to Ink Development Specialist. •Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product quality and consistency. •Apply engineering principles, world-class manufacturing techniques, statistics, and risk management to establish new methods, controls, and procedures.•Plan and formulate all aspects of research and development proposals, such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements.•Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to QA team as required to resolve defects, test failures, process capabilities as well as supply capacity risks.•Oversee production trials stemming from ink developments with Ink Development Specialist and provide analysis of trial.Requires domestic travel (10%)Minimum education required: Bachelor’s or equivalent in Packaging, printing, ink/coatings or related field.Minimum experience required: 3 years in ink development or related field.Skills required: Experience with Color management. Experience with color Ink Making, color matching. Knowledge of Ink Chemicals. Knowledge of print process and substrates. Knowledge of Color Management.
