Index Serve Platform team

Bing Index Serve is the core part of Bing’s search engine. The team is responsible to manage tens of thousands of machines and provide backend search engineer for document selection and ranking. The technology stack covers the hottest areas such as Resource Scheduling, Distributed Object Storage system, Index Selection/Ranking, Enabling AI in Bing and so on.

FBV team

We are working on deep models serving across all Bing stack and customers in the company. We work closely with latest AI innovation and multiple user scenarios like search, recommendation, personalization ......

Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated and talented individuals at various career stages of their careers, to build FBV model. As an Applied scientist, you will play a critical role in the team. You will need to understand the design, code and features of many different scenarios and AI innovation, quickly come up to speed and deliver ideas/model via this intuitiveness, attention to detail and responsiveness. You must be able to have deep understanding in model training, sensitivity to data and enthusiasm to AI techniques. You should be able to analyze the problem/data, design the algo/model with correct metrics and drive the plan independently. You must have good partnership and influencing skills to be able to work across multiple teams.

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS/MS or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

2+ years of experience programming in Java, Python, C++/C# and/or other computer programming languages preferred

Experience in Search related area is preferred

Expertise in very large scale distributed system preferred.

Expertise in Deep Learning such as Image, NLP preferred.

Experience in information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, deep learning, classification or clustering is a big plus

Experience in Deep Learning such as Pytorch is a big plus

Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box"
