Summary of the Position

Professional Engineering position for an individual with a background in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (BSME/BSMET) to assist in measurement and improvement of product quality and performance. Job requires a self-motivated, assertive, technical professional whose abilities include good organization skills, detail-orientation, creativity, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualification and Education Requirements

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical engineering technology or equivalent work experience required.

Experience/skills/abilities

Knowledge and experience with machining equipment and processes. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Willing to work in a team environment and familiar with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Self-motivated, capable of taking direction as well as working with minimal supervision, and able to mentor others. Strong set of maintained measurement/inspection skills. Familiar with concurrent engineering techniques, root cause corrective action analysis, design of experiments, design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA). Skilled at multitasking, and assertive.
