Summary of Position:

The College of Engineering Technology (CET) at Ferris State University invites applicants for a tenure track position in the discipline of Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology (EAET). This position combines relevant experience in electronics and automation for a new program in the School of Engineering and Computing Technology (SECT). The successful candidate is expected to develop and teach courses, as well as develop and teach labs primarily focused, but not limited to automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors and variable frequency drives (VFDs), digital logic and communication networks for automation systems as well as other courses in relevant technological areas. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in continuous improvement and curriculum development in accordance with ABET accreditation criteria. Interfacing with industry and external agencies to direct the growth and development of the program will be expected in activities such as senior projects, grants, and advisory roles. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest.
