The Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking a Human Resource Business Partner III. This announcement will be used to fill a classified position located at the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) that will be located at the Chinden Office in Boise, ID. This position will provide support for ITD and will work collaboratively with the Idaho Division of Human Resources.

Summary:
Performs a full range of advanced professional human resource services in leave administration, medical accommodations, classification, compensation, recruitment, training, policy and procedure, employee relations and performance management. This position may provide support to multiple agencies.
Responsibilities:
Leading processes and resources within area(s) of expertise such as employee relations, civil rights, recruitment, classification and/or compensation
Developing, recommending changes and providing guidance on interpretation and application of policies and procedures
Completing complex analyses of HR data to identify key trends and recommends changes to improve performance of operations
Collaborating with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Performing job analyses and making recommendations for organizational structure changes
Providing advice and guidance on various HR topics and resolving complex issues
Responding to complaints and conducting thorough and objective investigations
Conducting training and presentations on HR related topics
Facilitating due process and problem solving
Processing and managing FMLA/ADA requests including the interactive process, designation of leave, and answering questions related to FMLA/ADA
May include performing leadwork/supervisory duties to include work assignment, direction, and monitoring of staff
Distinguishing Characteristics
This is the fourth level in the HR job family. At this level, incumbents navigate a broad range of complex issues and inform leadership regarding contentious matters. Provides advanced guidance for other HR staff, seeking assistance on highly complicated situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of:
Human resource administration
Equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements
Experience:
Analyzing human resource management problems and developing alternatives and recommendations
Participating in resolving complaints
Providing human resource consultation to management and administrators
Supplemental Information:
This position may travel locally to the ITD aeronautics division located in Boise, ID.
