Position Summary

DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Program Manager for its Special Missions Training Center (SMTC) facility in Camp Lejeune, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive training in CBRN defense to Coast Guard personnel, ensuring adherence to Coast Guard policies and procedures. This role involves conducting instruction in diverse settings, including classrooms, range operations, and maritime environments, and coordinating mobile training sessions. The CBRN Program Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining readiness and safety among Coast Guard personnel.

Note: This position is dependent upon contract award.

Position Type:  On-Site

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary program manager for CBRN training, overseeing all aspects of program management.

  • Conduct CBRN instruction across various settings, including classrooms, range operations, and maritime environments, as needed.

  • Facilitate scheduling and tracking of Fleet Training Courses for Coast Guard units, coordinating mobile training travel as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies during training, including range safety protocols.

  • Prepare training materials, equipment, and facilities for courses, including setup and operation of training scenarios.

  • Conduct evaluations and observations during formal institutional training, off-site sustainment training, and major training events.

  • Provide daily feedback to students, maintain student records, and participate in safety and performance review boards.

  • Serve as a consultant in designing, preparing, and delivering programs of instruction to meet Coast Guard CBRN training standards.

  • Maintain physical fitness and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions while wearing protective gear.

  • Coordinate with the Performance Systems Branch to update course materials and complete graduation packages as required.

  • Travel approximately 80 days per year to conduct mobile training sessions, both CONUS and OCONUS.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a military, law enforcement, or government public health CBRN Subject Matter Expert, or equivalent experience in an equivalent Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or equivalent private sector experience with documented CBRN training instruction.

  • 7 years of documented experience instructing CBRN. CBRN training experience aboard a variety of military floating and shore units is preferable.

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a formal classroom instructor with proof of formal graduate of instructor training.

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles.

  • U.S. citizenship and proficiency in English.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
