About The Role

Seeking an EXPERIENCED, TALENTED and ENTHUSIASTIC individual, who is goal oriented to join our Commercial Lending Team in Durango, CO! This is a Professional and Administrative position primarily involving approving or denying credit to customers. Soliciting new business and coordinating internal function to establish the ability to meet customer needs. This position will build a thorough profile for each customer and maintain frequent personal, phone or email contact in an effort resulting in quality growth of loan and deposit accounts. Must thoroughly understand relevant legal parameters, internal policy and procedures, FDIC guidance, applicable accounting issues and the administrative processes involved in choosing a proper course of action while adhering to and exemplifying our Core Values: Honesty and Integrity, Service to the Customer, Teamwork, Respect for the Individual and Giving to the Communities We Serve. The salary range for this position is $103,500.00-$112,000.00 per year. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Bank Happy. Work Happy. Right Here. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interviews loan applicant and requests necessary information required to complete the loan application process. Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation. Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan. Corresponds with or interviews applicant and/or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Compiles loan package, submits to loan committee for approval when appropriate, and facilitates negotiation of loan structure, with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options and other credit terms. Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval. Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. Assures timely loan closing and funding activities. Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for commercial loans. Responsible for management of individual loan portfolio including all collection and work out activities. Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base. Maintains up-to-date client files including current balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow projections and all loan documentation. Insure delinquent loans in your loan portfolio over 30 days do not exceed 1% of the portfolio. Adheres to policies and procedures and makes proactive business decisions that limit the organization's financial, regulatory, legal and reputational risks. Risk and compliance accountability in the employee's purview is strong; adverse findings in audit, compliance, regulatory, quality control, loan and other reviews are minimal. CA Forms and Document Checklists are accurately completed at time of loan origination. CRA Assessment Forms are accurately completed and in file. Adverse Action Forms are accurately completed and in file and are delivered in a time compliant manner. Based on loan origination type, all applicable early disclosures are delivered in a time compliant manner. Audit and reviews of the department are rated satisfactorily for compliance. Timely and accurate completion of credit risk rating and non-accrual decisions initiated by the officer. Problem Loan Reports are to be completed accurately and in compliance with GBCI Loan Policy. All assigned loans are properly risk rated in compliance with GBCI credit policy. Loan files are to be kept up to date and all technical and file exceptions are to be cleared in an appropriate manner. Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the company. Calls on clients to expa d existing business; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the company's client base. Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs. Participates in company-sponsored and CRA activities that serve to support the mission and values of the organization, or devote time to an outside organization that respectably represents involvement of our staff members in the community and establishes a valuable partnership with our company. Actively seek out and pursue CRA eligible loans for BSJ. Additional Responsibilities Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Adhere to Bank of the San Juans Company Core Values. Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Bank of the San Juans. About You

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positons.
