Description:

  • This is a hands-on position and will require the individual to complete testing of controls of all new and existing electrical control and safety systems in the plant and all external buildings within the campus.

-PLC troubleshooting of new and existing PLC systems will be accomplished by this individual, as well as maintaining existing alarm systems.

  • Contribute to an effective, predictive, and preventative maintenance program (including repair, modification, and installation of equipment) in order to improve production efficiency and ensure optimum machine time availability.

  • Regularly inspect plant facilities, production support systems and equipment in order to support effective plant operation.

-Respond to “line calls” from production to assist with the uptime of the equipment.

  • Will occasionally communicate and work with outside contractors.

  • Maintain facility and equipment for safety (food and teammate) issues and respond appropriately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • PLC troubleshooting and programming (plus)

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics

  • Experience with low and high voltage electrical components

  • Experience with automated equipment

  • Experience in a food environment (plus)

  • TIG welding (plus, but need the willingness to learn it)

  • Knowledge of: relays, e-stop switches, sensors, PLCs, key shafts, contactors, thermostat, breaker, interlock sensor, fuse, IR/photosensor, fuse, proximity sensor, electrical wiring schematics
