About the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our team at BD International and BD Dubai. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting. You will be responsible for income statements and balance sheets, as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Finance Manager and other members of the finance team, you will contribute to the timely sign off on US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting. Main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and deliver accurate US GAAP reporting and ensure compliance with local GAAP statutory requirements

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and other teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting to corporate

• Establish positive relationships with the FinOps COE Belgium & WSSC Poland, European Consolidation team, and BP&A teams

• Drive standardization and best practices across entities

• Streamline processes to provide detailed results for sign off

• Design simplified review processes and reports for the Country Controller

• Identify areas for simplification and efficiency improvement, including audit processes

• Take the lead on projects within the Entity Finance COE

• Collaborate with finance managers in EMEA to share best practices and drive standardization

• Provide support to the Country Controller for US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting

• Manage relationships with stakeholders, such as auditors and tax advisors

About you

• Recognized accounting qualification

• Audit experience

• Deep understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP compliance requirements

• Experience working in a matrix organization

• Experience with shared service centers

• Experience with ERP implementations is advantageous

• Proven track record to manage projects

• Proficient in English

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• High ethical values and personal responsibility
