We are a well-established, small company (30+ years in business) with a solid backlog providing Electronic Component Testing and other Electronic Value-Added Services to high caliber customers in the Space, Defense, Medical, and Commercial Electronic Industries. We are searching for that special talent in Electronic Components specializing in micro-processors, capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, etc. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test electrical components and circuitry for the high reliability aerospace, military, commercial and industrial industries.

     

  • Assemble prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.

     

  • Build test benches, test, and provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered. Excellent soldering abilities required.

     

  • Program and Setup Agilent Network Analyzers.

     

  • Install and maintain electronic equipment.

     

  • Translate manufacturers device specifications to parameter testing requirements for automatic test equipment (ATE)

     

  • Collaborate with management, electrical engineers, operators, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.

     

  • Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment. Prepare project cost and work-time estimates.

     

  • Draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications.

     

  • Plan, schedule and monitor work of support personnel to assist supervisor.

     

  • Set up and operate test equipment and record results.

     

  • Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to outdated material.

     

Qualifications:

  • This position has a level of skill commensurate with a degree in Electrical Engineering at minimum, associates or 4-year degree a plus. Experience and great references.

     

  • The successful candidate shall understand the basics of semiconductor testing. Familiar with MIL-STD 750, MIL-STD 883, visual inspection of integrated circuits a plus.

     

  • Programming ability a major plus: Understanding of older 1970 -- 1980 Linear Test Systems (LTS-2000 & LTS-2020) "Basic" Custom Linear. Understanding Nextest (Maverick II PT) ATE Solutions for sensitive electronics. "C" Digital Electronics Programming.

     

  • Demonstrated understanding of circuit concepts with strong trouble shooting skills

     

  • Apply electrical knowledge whenever possible. The company is looking for individuals that are looking to grow and assist in expanding our capabilities and growth in our industry.

     

  • Proficiency with common test equipment, works well in a lab environment.

  • Flexible and understanding for shifting from job to job based on priorities. Able to work independently with little supervision.

     

  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and PC skills as required.

     

  • Strong written/oral communication, problem solving, good judgment, presentation, and decision-making skills a plus.
