AGCO is seeking a talented, passionate, and highly motivated professional to join the sales team as a District Manager in the Midwest United States. As the District Manager you will be responsible for leading a territory and specific accounts within the North America GSI Grain & Fertilizer Sales department. You will be accountable for the sales performance, territory management, and development of several independent dealerships. The District Manager works closely with dealers and end-users regarding all technical aspects of the GSI product portfolio and is ultimately responsible for the financial success of the NA Grain & Fertilizer Sales territory. You’re focus will be to drive success through territory development of the customer base, profitable sales, and increases in market and wallet share.

Your Impact

  • Achieve targeted sales and market share targets by developing and implementing all aspects of dealer and/or customer coverage and support. Close coordination with Marketing and Product Management. Achieve a positive working relationship, promotes cooperation and a high level of teamwork with inside sales, marketing, and product management personnel.

  • Accountability for a portion of annual NA GSI product sales; Short-term & long-term sales territory development.

  • Mine and analyze data in support of the greater NA Grain & Fertilizer business unit.

  • Create & update accurate forecasts to enable the NA plants to run personnel & equipment in an efficient manner.

  • Analyze and provide dealer development opportunities and recommendations to support strategic growth initiatives.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • B.S Degree in Agri-Business and / or marketing academic background

  • Basic mechanical aptitude necessary.

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience in agriculture, heavy equipment or construction.

  • Experience with GSI products or one of its competitors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, can approach people proactively, can train/coach.

Your Workplace

You will work remote and will travel to our G&P locations site to team up with your wonderful AGCO colleagues. In this role you must possess the ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time to fulfill the duties of the role.
