CVS Health Lead Director, FP&A Medicare Finance Local Market Lead in Hartford, Connecticut

Position Summary

In this exciting new role to CVS, we are looking for a leader who can provide strategic leadership and oversight for financial planning and analysis for a Medicare Local Market by managing a team of financial analysts, coordinating budgeting and forecasting processes, providing guidance on financial strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives. In addition, they will ensures accurate financial reporting, drives process improvements, and contributes to strategic planning and risk assessment. R esponsible for driving targets and goals with Network, Stars, and Revenue Integrity teams for aligned Market.

Responsibilities:

• Develops processes and implements the organization's financial planning and budgeting processes.

• Communicates strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at the executive level.

• Controls the forecasting process to provide accurate and timely financial forecasts and projections by analyzing financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Administers in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies.

• Communicates with top management to support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights, guidance, and recommendations to drive business performance and achieve financial goals.

• Designs risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's financial position and ensures compliance with financial regulations and internal control procedures.

• Contributes to streamlining financial planning and analysis processes, enhancing data accuracy, and improving efficiency.

• Guides management for individual performance evaluations aimed to provide critical feedback for skills development and depth of work area experience.

• Manages operational aspects of the team, and implements workforce and succession plans to meet business goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience and adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

  • Experience leading the capital budgeting process in partnership with the business leadership team; develop evaluation criterion to guide the leadership team through the investment selection process; and provide oversight of the capital portfolio throughout the plan year

  • 3-5 years experience in health care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oversee the enhancement of core FP&A and Financial operations capabilities, including the evaluation of tools, enhanced processes and better real-time insights on volume and revenue trends, and deeper analytics on gross margin trends and drivers

  • Provide support for a variety of finance / business needs, including the development of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, budget presentations for senior leadership, and day-to-day ad-hoc analyses

  • Medicare Experience.

EducationBachelor or similar work experience

This is a hybrid role with a preferred location of Hartford. Will consider additional CVS hub locations.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
