Position Summary

The Analytics and Behavior Change team serves as a critical partner to the retail pharmacy payer analytics team, helping them to achieve core business goals related to reimbursement, pricing and margin driving initiatives. The team builds advanced analytic solutions (using Machine Learning and other statistical techniques) to identify opportunities, collaborate across other stakeholders in the organization to implement the strategy, and measure impact. Additionally, the team builds tools and capabilities to enable business units to design, run, and measure their own interventions.As a Senior Data Scientist, your primary role will entail:

• Working with a wide range of problem domains, including time-series forecasting, classification, regression, clustering to name a few.• Coordinating regularly with technical teams (Analytics, Data Engineering, IT) as well as non-technical business stakeholders and senior leadership.• Mentoring junior team members to provide technical guidance

• Accountability, work with a sense of urgency, possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills, and have passion for developing high-performing analytics solutions

Additionally, you will:

• See projects through from inception to production.• Collaborate closely with business partners to identify new use cases, perform root-cause analyses, support decision-making, and gain insights from data.• Develop and present meaningful and insights-driven materials on analytical results with recommendations and go forward planning to guide a variety of audiences including internal stakeholders and senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Palantir Foundry or Tableau

• 3+ years of experience programming in SQL and Python

• Experience working with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau)

• 2-3 years of experience building machine learning and/or optimization models

• Experience with Spark/PySpark• Experience with cloud distributed-computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure Databricks, etc.), including querying/mining large datasets and deploying projects on cloud systems.• Knowledge of Git for version control.• Experience building and utilizing a robust experimentation framework (e.g., A/B testing) to measure performance of deployed models• Strong knowledge of the underlying mathematical and statistical principles that are foundational to data science

Preferred Qualifications• Strong understanding of health care industry, products, and systems

• Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications effectively to non-technical business partners• High energy and a sense of urgency to deliver results, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & meet deadlines.• Capability to anticipate and prevent project roadblocks before they occur

• Familiarity with working in an Agile framework.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree or PhD preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$97,335.00 - $201,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
