Boys & Girls Aid in Portland, OR is looking to hire a full-time Youth and Family Case Manager for Safe Place, our shelter for houseless youth. Safe Place services youth, ages 12 to 20, who are experiencing housing instability. Do you have experience working with youth? Are you able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries? Bilingual employees are eligible for an additional 8% pay differential. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A YOUTH AND FAMILY CASE MANAGER As the Youth and Family Case Manager you\'ll provide intake, placement, service planning, and case coordination for homeless and runaway youth receiving shelter services at Safe Place. Your work with youth and families will focus on crisis intervention, mediation, skill building, and family support planning. You\'ll assess individual needs and provide referrals for services needed such as education, vocational training, mental health services, substance abuse services, arranging and/or providing transportation to school, medical appointments, court hearings, assessment appointments, contact with family, etc. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CASE MANAGER: Bachelor\'s degree with major study in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field plus a minimum of two (2) years of professional and/or lived experience.
