As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Foundry Services, a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. Foundry Services will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally.

Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric, and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages.

This business unit is dedicated to the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers' products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement and capacity commitments. Foundry Services is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.

As the Silicon Architecture Manager, you will direct a team of silicon architects (e.g., IP, SoC, domain architects) developing architecture specifications for highly optimized, modular, and scalable IPs or SoCs.

The Silicon Architecture Manager:

  • Manages teams, functions, activities, and responsibilities to ensure architecture is based on hardware features, requirements and interoperability of hardware and software throughout the product life cycle.

  • Drives hardware enhancements from original concept through final implementation across all silicon architectures and assesses impact on performance and capacity.

  • Delivers silicon functionality, connectivity, configuration, performance, timing, power, and area goals.

  • Oversees and guides technology roadmaps while keeping current with technology trends.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional engineering managers and architects to enable new hardware and software technologies.

  • Is responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

  • Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or other relevant STEM related field of study and 8+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or other relevant STEM related field of study and 7+ years’ experience.

  • 4+ years prior experience managing SoC architecture teams or architecture development.

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 10+ years prior experience managing SoC architecture teams or architecture development.

  • AI Silicon product development.

  • Working with EDA vendors to develop or license IP Experience with DDR.

  • Experience in development of data center networking system solutions (Ethernet, RDMA, NVLink.)

  • Experience with memory systems (HBM, DDR, LPDDR).

  • Experience with high speed SERDES solutions.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $162,041.00-$259,425.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
