Citigroup Regulatory Risk Officer in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Regulatory Risk Officer for its Irving, Texas location.

Duties: Monitor the Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL) process, as well as implement and monitor the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) through analysis and modeling. Evaluate adequacy of reserves based on outstanding exposures and underlying credit risks, and assess macroeconomic scenarios. Execute portfolio monitoring activities, including ongoing review of key risk metrics, understanding drivers, identifying trends and data quality issues, and engaging with various stakeholders for remediation. Reconcile detailed financial data from disparate data sources utilizing Python, SAS, and Essbase. Develop effective challenges to models and provide support to address key modeling issues, including identification, management, and mitigation of model risk. Ensure compliance with the risk governance framework, and adherence to the policies and standards applicable to CECL. Identify improvements to forecasting results, support enhancements to model stress testing process, and utilize avenues for automation to drive process efficiency. Perform data quality checks and clean different external datasets to ensure data attributes can effectively flow into internal model. Develop and implement models and tools to verify results of analytical systems and ensure models provide rational and logical output. Conduct sensitivity tests for the ACL model under different macroeconomic variables and quantify the influence for the expected loss pool. Prepare and present CECL model methodologies and financial impact of forecasts. Provide analytical support on various qualitative and quantitative issues related to CECL and ACL modeling. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice President, or related position involving model validation for a financial services institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive post-baccalaureate experience. Full span of experience must include: Statistical and financial modeling including Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL); Data analysis using SAS and Python; Risk management, including identification and mitigation of risks, and adherence to regulatory requirements; Processing large datasets using Python and SAS; and Conducting sensitivity tests and model stress testing.
