    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs products for manufacturability using a combination of independent research and collaboration

  • Generates product models, concept layouts, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software

  • Prepares accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), develops manufacturing process flow, and enters parts lists and labor requirements into ERP software

  • Supports materials sourcing, purchasing, and selection required by the design process

  • Provides technical and engineering support to production operators

  • Observes all designed projects from conceptual phase through production to final assembly

  • Performs cost review of various jobs – identify materials, labor requirements and related costs

  • Suggests recommendations for cost savings and labor efficiencies to production personnel

  • Communicate directly with customer-based liaisons to define solutions to fill the customer’s requirements – must follow-up on communications routinely

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology Management

  • Experienced in mechanical engineering and design through past employment or internships.

  • Passion for pushing boundaries and creating unparalleled designs.

  • Excellent communications skill for customer interactions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • 3D CAD experience is required, preferably Autodesk Inventor

  • Willingness to take on non-traditional tasks, roles, responsibilities, and challenges needed to accomplish company goal s
