Job Purpose and Impact

Based in Mouscron, the Liquid Chocolate Production Scheduler will organize the optimal production scheduling of 5 production lines in Cargill’s biggest chocolate factory in Europe. He/she also directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of goods and materials to meet production requirements and deliver customers but also 2 solid chocolate production lines on time. In this role, he/she will support master production planning, process development, planning and execution, systems and data management, reporting and analysis.

Key Accountabilities

  • Expedite workflow and coordinate/optimize changes in schedules.

  • Track progress of production and reviews factors which affect schedules

  • Prepare short-term and/or mid-term (2 – 4 weeks) production schedules for manufacturing operations based on established workflow for finished goods, factoring forecast, inventory, production lead times and plant capacity

  • Assist in setting master production planning, material requirements planning and production scheduling metrics targets.

  • Maintain data relevant to master production, production scheduling and material requirements planning activities including planning calendars, material data and location data.

  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineer’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Fluent French and English

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain planning

  • Very well structured, strong organizational- prioritizing- and multi-tasking skills

  • Used to work under pressure and to front-end responsibilities

  • Team spirit, able to federate people towards common goals.

  • Ability to listen and understand the different departments requirements.

  • Eager to learn chocolate production process
