LexisNexis Risk Solution group are currently seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a friendly, forward thinking collaborative team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking for the opportunity to build further on acquired skills.

We provide excellent training and mentoring so that on completion you will be able to:

  • Performs moderate/complex research, design, and software development assignments using Core Technology and Concepts – Bigdata – HPCC ECL, Basic Python, ETL concepts or BI.

  • Be comfortable working day-to-day in the key technologies – SQL, DevOps, Basic Cloud (Azure), Unix.

What we are looking for:

  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

  • Strong analytical skills, Communication, Problem Solving skills.

  • Expertise on SQL, Unix.

  • End to end knowledge software development lifecycle.

  • Strong hold on Data Manipulation Language, ETL concepts.

  • Must have adequate knowledge on - .Development in a database technology using SQL and PLSQL, Data warehousing on prem / cloud.

  • Expected knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Good Problem Solving and Requirement understanding skills as well as a positive attitude, ability, and desires to learn new processes and technologies.

  • Successfully implement end to end development and help with Code Reviews, Best practices.

  • Good to have basic knowledge of Cloud, Python, PreData processing, Facts and Dimension, Data Profiling, using any ETL tool – Talend, Informatica, IBM DataStage, Pentaho or using Bigdata concepts.
