Mary Wade Adult Day Center is looking for a positive energy people to join our direct care team! You will provide care as needed, lead fun recreation activities, help serve snacks and lunch and complete necessary paperwork. Our center is a fun, upbeat, creative place for members to enjoy their day and engage in activities that help them retain their ability to function independently.

We are hiring for the following position: 40 hours/wk: Monday to Friday: 8am to 430pm

Hourly Rate: $16.00 to $18.00

Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity.

Qualifications:

• PCA’s with previous experience are encouraged to apply

• C.N.A certification preferred

• 1 year professional or personal experience caring for Advanced Alzheimer's or Dementia patients required

• Experience leading recreation activities for any population

• Experience speaking or leading a group in a professional or extra-curricular setting

• Strong customer service skills

• Use good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information

• Strong positive attendance track record

• Willingness to assist co-workers and ALL members as needed

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

• Able to be flexible to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure

• Possess a “Do whatever it takes” mentality

• Strong sense of urgency and efficiency in completing tasks

• Sense of humor, high-energy and upbeat personality
