Business Analyst, Senior Specialist with Nasdaq, Inc. (New York, NY). Produce business solutions to address the needs of Nasdaq’s Index business and support the Index technology platform. Interact with the Index business/Index technology partners to elicit business requirements. Support project management in driving decisions with the partner group and project team to gain agreement on project requirements, scope, and business process changes using Jira (project management tool) Conduct Product Refinement, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Quarterly planning meetings for the Global Index Dissemination Scrum team. Participate in requirements gathering sessions with the team, and user acceptance testing sessions with the product managers and business partners/stakeholders to reach desired outcomes. Assist in identifying and pursuing business process optimization to increase operational efficiency by cross collaborating with other divisions such as Index Research & Development, Governance, and Operations teams. Work on guidelines for Agile governance of the Index Scrum teams, which outline the template of every workflow and process for Index project management. Support the Product Delivery Lead in running Sprint planning meetings that require collaboration with the scrum team comprising of Project manager, Scrum lead, Developers, Testers, Index stakeholders, and Designers. Collaborate with the Design Lead to create UI designs and workflows for new features of Index products by using Flow chart tools like Visio and Figma. Create user acceptance test cases for every User Story in Jira and assist Index Subject matter experts to execute the same. Partner with the Technology team to resolve issues discovered during testing and ensure the systems are ready for Production release. Opportunity allows for partial work from home as long as employee resides in the same Metropolitan Statistical Area, where the job is offered (as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics).Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, and three (3) years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Information Systems sector or related position. Experience must include: Working in the Agile Scrum Methodology using Jira and Confluence; Analyzing process optimization opportunities and elicit business and technical requirements; Documenting solution requirements by following techniques such as Behavior Driven Development and Personas; Utilizing Microsoft Visio, Figma, or other process or flow chart tool; Creating Quality Assurance and Gap analysis reports; and Developing and performing user acceptance testing. 10% domestic travel is required for this role. Travel is generally to Nasdaq offices in Maryland and Philadelphia at least once per quarter, for internal/external meetings. Salary: $64,563- $123,999 per year.
