Mizuho Bank Ltd. Structured Credit Analyst (Data Analyst) in New York, New York
Candidate will be responsible for the following tasks with respect to collateralized loan obligations (CLOs):
Detailed analysis of CLO investments on a granular (underlying loan collateral) level, deal-level, portfolio-level and issuer (collateral manager) level
Performing various cash flow analyses, for purposes of stress testing and calculation of fair values with respect to individual CLO investments
Production of periodic and ad hoc reports, presentations and other work product based on the analyses described above
Qualifications
Authorized to reside and work in the United States
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university/college
Prior experience in finance (e.g., banking, investment banking, asset management)
Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to process and manage large volumes of information/data
Working knowledge of statistical concepts
Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as willingness to collaborate with other team members
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to organize and present work in a professional manner
Candidate must be proficient in the following applications/tasks:
Microsoft Excel writing/executing/editing macros (VBA), importing data via Bloomberg API and third-party add-ins, as well as creation/usage of pivot tables, graphs
Microsoft Access storing and accessing massive volume of data compiled and processed each month
Ability to perform multi-scenario CLO cashflow analyses using third party cashflow models (we currently use CDONet by Moodys Analytics)
Bloomberg Anywhere
Candidate should have at least a working knowledge of one or more of the following:
Structured finance/securitization concepts (e.g., underlying collateral pools, subordination, credit enhancement, cash flows, amortization/WAL, etc.)
Fixed income (e.g., bonds, floating/fixed rate coupons, discount margins, etc.)
Credit (loans, ratings, credit risk, defaults/recoveries, etc.)
The expected base salary ranges from $100, 000 - $150, 000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
