The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As the IT Service Asset & Configuration Manager you will manage the life cycle of the processes that ensure the content and quality of data recorded in the Service Asset and Configuration Management databases (AMDB & CMDB) meet the required standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s processes are fit for purpose and drive continuous improvement activity to deliver increased value from the CMDB and its associated services and process its supports. You will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality Service Asset and Configuration Management service.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead on the delivery of a fully operational CMDB, evaluating existing tools and the design, and drive the development of new/improved features and functionality as necessary to improve compliance coverage, as well as efficiency and effectiveness

  • Identify and define scope of the asset & configuration management processes, function, the items that are to be controlled, and the information that is to be recorded

  • Manage configuration management for the organization, ensuring value for the business and adherence to company policies. Ensures changes to assets are recorded and controlled appropriately. Promotes organizational commitment to assert control

  • Work in collaboration with the Hardware and Software Teams, to create, review and update of the Asset & Configuration Management Policy, Process and Procedures which defines the life cycle of all Assets

  • Develop strategy and implement best practice frameworks for measuring, improving, monitoring, and reporting against SLA and KPI

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Management, Information Technology, Financial Management, or similar relevant field

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES :

  • 3-5 years experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully

  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the operation and management of a CMDB

  • Demonstrable knowledge of using IT Service Management Toolsets

  • Deep understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITIL) and how Configuration Management underpins these

DESIRED SKILLS :

  • ITIL Certification preferred

  • Experience with ServiceNow CMDB

  • Experience with training and development of virtual training techniques

TRAVEL:

  • Remote

  • Up to 5-10% travel

The range for this position is $88,874.00 - $122,203.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
