Conceive and provide practical embedded software designs using complex technical principles. The emphasis of this position is on creating concepts and directing the design and development of complex software engineering projects. Work with customers to define product requirements, perform requirements decomposition, and prepare concept, design, development, and feasibility studies of complex software engineering projects. Delegate portions of the project to other engineers, and lead and coordinate the design, analysis, and software development effort. Prepares development plans and is responsible for meeting scheduled dates. Acts as the development team leader by interacting with various engineering departments. Conducts technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products. Develops and maintains feature and system architecture, with attention to configuration management, version control, and lifecycle management of the software. Coordinate software feature tests with proven design and prototype build-up and test areas. Guides other engineers responsible for portions of the product project to ensure development schedules are met. Evaluates, defines, and resolves design problems. Uses technical expertise and product knowledge to play the leadership role in the problem-resolution process when interfacing with Test and Evaluation. Use latest technological advancements and emerging technologies such as Python, Pycharm, and Selenium and continuous integration and build, HIL simulation, and automated test. Prepares design concepts and develops unique product design features the Company often patents to gain competitive advantage.

Travel/relocation to various unanticipated client sites within the United States only is required. Exact client site location cannot be predicted as it may vary/change depending on project availability.

EDUCATION:Masters Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related.

EXPERIENCE:2 years experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related. 2 years experience in developing software features on embedded electronic controls.
