Join the team responsible for ensuring the highest quality for technologies at the heart of Apple's products. Part of the Core OS organization, The Core I/O QE team is responsible for the quality of the software experience of IO technologies across all of Apple’s products.

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to co-ordinate and drive QE projects by planning and managing test execution with offshore testers, including in-depth issue triage and debug.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at reporting and presenting system and feature quality status to a variety of cross- functional audiences.

  • Ability to communicate with native Mandarin-Chinese speakers to aid collaboration with offshore teams.

  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate cross-functional leadership with good project/time management skills.

  • Solid programming fundamentals in Python or similar languages

Description

We are seeking a motivated engineer with excellent cross-functional coordination and problem-solving capabilities. You will be responsible for supporting our testing efforts at our offshore facilities, taking the lead in scheduling and coordinating the test execution of IO technologies and features across our platforms. You will be required to be hands-on with testing, triaging, investigating and debugging issues. Adapting test plans to take account of operational needs, managing issue tracking, managing and reporting on test execution across programs, and assisting in plans to scale our test coverage over time.

Education & Experience

BS, CS, EE, CE, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Additional "Preferred" Requirements:

  • Practical scripting experience with scenarios such as triaging and routing issues, extracting, manipulating data or streamlining workflows and test automation.

  • Familiarity with IO technologies such as USB, Thunderbolt or DisplayPort/HDMI, and able to ramp-up quickly on new and existing technologies is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with C programming will be an added plus

  • Familiarity with data visualization, trend analysis and report creation using tools such as Tableau.

  • Willingness and ability to travel between sites.

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
