This position dealswith a wide range of system level designs from usability over data interfaces to computational hardware architecture and code structure concepts.
In a multi discipline Function System the SW & computational platform system engineer is the architect for the overall software and execution platform of the system, with the following responsibilities:
Maps the product functional requirements onto the SW and computational hardware components and creates solutions meeting the SPS requirements together with the SW and comp. hardware architect team.
Contribute in systems design and perform trade-off between HW and SW solutions on system level and influence multi-disciplinary architectural decisions
Guard product-wide software & computational platform architecture integrity
Contribute in SPS, SDS, and TPS from software & execution platform perspective, and high level SW product design
Create SW-PBS at system level for every product and determines technical ownership
Support and reviews projects software architecture and designs
Involved in cross-sectoral technical integration of software and computational platform
Ensure system engineering concepts are applied in sw design and implementation of systems with translating system requirements in SW requirements
Define roadmap for sw architecture from system view and to support future functionalities
Incorporate SW functions and technology roadmap items into products
Translate product strategies into SW vision and strategies
Supports the product system engineers in in creating PGP deliverables.

Context of the position
This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer is required.
