Robert Half Staffing Coordinator in San Luis Obispo, California

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Staffing Coordinator in the healthcare field. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the front desk, maintaining office functions, and ensuring effective scheduling. You will be part of a team that values skills in areas such as clerical duties, receptionist responsibilities, and payroll functions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective staffing of the nursing units on a daily basis

• Coordinate with internal staff and external staffing agencies to fill vacant shifts

• Accurately input data into the scheduling system to generate daily reports

• Perform clerical reception and general office duties, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment

• Maintain and update employee contact information for designated areas

• Maintain attendance records on-call and float lists

• Process leave requests and input data into the payroll system

• Coordinate small programs within a limited budget

• Maintain staff qualifications list and ensure all members are up-to-date with necessary vaccinations

• Adhere to all corporate regulations and standards, promoting a culture of sensitivity and respect.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in managing office functions, including budget processes, scheduling, and payroll functions.

• Familiarity with medical coverage, vaccines, and vaccinations.

• Previous experience in receptionist and clerical duties, including managing attendance records and leave requests.

• Ability to perform staffing duties, possibly in a corporate headquarters setting.

• Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other office software.

• Experience or understanding of nursing practices could be beneficial.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of organization and attention to detail.

• Discretion and confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the information handled.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to undertake further training if required.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
