Job Description

Do you love to work on low power embedded microelectronics systems, and have you found an incredible passion for creating next generation play experiences for children around the world?

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior individual contributor as we develop and lifecycle manage embedded microelectronics and power management solutions used in mechatronic systems that enable awesome play experiences.

  • Represent the Hardware Engineering Team in interfacing directly with in-region strategic external partners (manufacturers, suppliers), in tight partnership with colleagues from other organizations in the LEGO Group.

  • Play key individual contributor role in work involving microelectronics and power solutions design, trouble shooting, risk & cost management, safety/compliance, and testing.

  • Work as part of a global cross functional team (North America, Europe, Asia) to deliver and lifecycle manage integrated, manufacturable solutions at excellent quality and high volume.

  • Ensure electronics and PCBA solutions are aligned with our architectural blueprint, and meet all safety/regulatory/quality requirements and all other agreed-to requirements.

  • Demonstrate by example excellence in engineering, teamwork, innovation, risk management/mitigation, and delivery.

  • Collaborate with other team members from Boston, Denmark, and Singapore to support our global capability growth efforts.

The Senior Engineer, Electronics and Power Management plays an important individual contributor role in the electronics' domainon ourElectrical Engineering and Power Management team in our Hardware Engineering Group.This group operates on a global scale within the Play Engineering organization in Product Innovation and Design at the LEGO Group.

The role is based in Singapore, where LEGO Play Engineering is expanding our global footprint to support our portfolio as we redefine the future of play for the builders of tomorrow.

Do you have what it takes?

  • A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to deliver truly awesome play experiences to children around the world.

  • Min 8 years of experience in microelectronics and power management design and development roles that involve hardware selection and development from idea stage to mass production on projects involving robotics/mechatronics, microelectronics, complex systems, low power electronics and battery technology, or other similar domains.

  • Strong experience in modern high-volume microelectronics' development in relevant markets (e.g. consumer electronics, robotics, medical device, automotive, or similar).

  • Experience with key electronic component providers and manufacturing partners.

  • Evidence of strong capabilities in creative technical problem solving in modern microelectronic systems, coupled with well-balanced people skills.

  • Track record of strong written and verbal communications skills on global engineering efforts involving both internal and 3rd party partner companies.

  • Fluency in multiple languages (one of which is English) to facilitate professional technical communications with partner companies throughout the region.

  • Ability to travel as necessary, roughly 30-50 days per year (primarily but not exclusively in the region), as part of our global organization.
