Responsibilities

Job Summary: The first line supervisor of rehabilitation therapy services assists the department manager in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the departments activities. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to, staff development, clinical education, program development and implementation of fiscal activities and participates in patient care. This position requires providing care/service to an acutely ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Physical or Occupational Therapist.

  • It is preferred that this individual have a good background and understanding of Physical and/or Occupational Therapy.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited university or a college.

  • Certificate course in physical therapy which is accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association or certification by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT).

License/ Certifications:

  • Current license in the State of California as a Registered Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist is also required.

  • BLS- American Heart Association

Special Skills:

  • The individual must be competent and knowledgeable in regulations as they pertain to such as the departmental operations and accrediting bodies.

Pay Range

$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
