The Integration & Informatics Technical Support Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for provide dynamic I&I Technical Solution Services, will work closely with customers to configure, test and support Leica product portfolio. In addition, this role will work closely with the Integration & Informatics Analysts and support Laboratory Information System (LIS) interfaces for the Leica product portfolio. This position involves extensive interaction with other roles within Leica Biosystems including Sales, Regulatory, Operations, the Business Units and Applications Specialists. This position is part of the Services & Applications team located in São Paulo/Barra Funda, will be remote and reporting to Services & Applications Manager.   • System and LIS Subject Matter Expert for Leica Biosystems product portfolio.

  • First customer support and troubleshooting of Leica's scanners (software and hardware).

  • Providing guidance on software configuration best practices to customer’s specific infrastructure requirements and t roubleshoot Windows networking, connectivity and permissions issues with our customers.

  • Support large regional team efforts by serving as a technical liaison between the customer, the Sales Unit, and the Business Unit to advance deals involving LIS integration components

  • Working collaboratively with sales leadership including input from the Manager of Applications, this role will provide additional leadership and work effort towards the LIS integration administration, laboratory instrument communications management, LIS interfacing, and database management.

  • Provide technical support when escalated from the Support, Applications and Field Service Teams

  • Work collectively with the Integrations & Informatics team to provide solutions to customers in terms of installations, integrations and custom requests

  • Train the customer sites on troubleshooting interface issues

  • Participate as a project team member for Leica Biosystems Interface implementations while adhering to regulatory guidelines governing medical devices

  • Report writing

  • Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape of LIS offerings of vendors

  • Mentor and train other team members on technical and procedural matters.

  • Recommend and utilize standard internal troubleshooting procedures; provide documentation and direct feedback to coworkers as appropriate.

  • Effectively communicate procedural and technical issues to internal and external customers through a variety of mediums.

    Required Education:

  • B.S. Degree, preferably in Management Information Systems (MIS), Eletronic Engineering, or Computer Science.

    Required Experience/Skills:

  • English and Portuguese fluency

  • Must have car Drive Licence

  • Hability to travel upt to 70% of the time for national and international territory

  • Valid Passport (USA Visa will be required)

  • Knowledgeable on HL7 and application interfacing with the major Laboratory Information System/Laboratory Information Management System vendors

  • Possess detailed troubleshooting techniques and knowledge of products supported and resolves issues that require considerable judgment with limited supervision.

  • Good presentation and communication skills as solutions to complex issues will need to be presented to the group.

  • Experienced in resolving customer problems and providing a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Experience in a similar role

  • General IT knowledge

  • High level of SQLServer proficiency

  • Extensive problem-solving experience

  • Technical writing skills

  • Experience with creating and completing Quality Assurance test plans

    Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Advanced Eletronic Knowledge

  • Understanding of medical technology

  • Understanding of Lab workflow

  • Project implementation experience (PMBOK and Agile methodology)

  • Experience with java programming and MIRTH

  • LIS implementation experience:

  • Practice in estimating time frames, quality and quantity of tasks required to efficiently implement project

  • Experience in following, maintaining, and improving the implementation methodology

  • SoftDx, Cerner, EPIC, Sunquest and/or other Anatomic Pathology LIS experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Azure and cloud data storage

  • Skilled technical writer able to document problems and solutions for use by other Technical Support personnel.

  • Experience supporting Apache web server products

  • Experience with image processing applications

  • Experience with medical devices, applications, and/or regulated environments
