Google Senior Hardware Design Engineering Lead, Board and Systems in Taipei, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience working in systems architecture, board design, hardware bring-up, and debug.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience with enterprise class hardware systems design and data center deployments.

  • Experience solving complex system issues, technical innovation, and driving technical roadmaps.

  • Experience with FPGA/CPLD Design and interface with other disciplines, including software, signal integrity, thermal, and mechanical.

Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

The Google Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Google’s compute and storage machines to satisfy Google Data Center internal use and external Google Cloud customers. Our team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services.

As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will design and build the systems that are a part of Google's computing infrastructure. You will see those systems from concepts all the way through to high-volume manufacturing.

From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible.   • Lead system and subsystem hardware design for data center products.

  • Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab.

  • Gather requirements, define high-level architecture, and execute hardware design and product validation.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product, and Deployment teams to productize designs and field support.

  • Work closely with external technology and system partners and represent Google’s technical requirements with these partners. Drive product from concept to production.
