• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

• Experience in Embedded domain environments (e.g., firmware, Linux kernel, Android).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

As a Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for bringing up hardware reference platforms, as well as vetting schematic designs to ensure they meet software needs. You will also work with manufacturing partners to author test plans, deliver factory test firmware and tools, provide support during the build, and develop the firmware required to bring up the board. You will work with internal software teams to design and implement proper hardware abstraction layers to enable the Augmented Reality platform.

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers responsible for developing low level device drivers, HALs, device trees, and boot code on multi-processor platforms.

• Work with teams and program managers to plan and coordinate work.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable key functionality, improve system performance, and drive down power consumption.

• Work with contract manufacturers to develop joint test plans and support factory builds.

• Mentor and develop team members, and promote a culture of learning and growth.
