Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) for the Operating Room in our Acute Hospitals- Exempt

FT Days - flexible shift options

40hrs a week

Position Summary : Abiding by the Mission & Values, the Clinical Nurse Educator I (CNE I) provides professional development and education services in the clinical setting by assisting nurses in preparing for contemporary clinical practice and supporting them in acquiring the knowledge and skills so that they can competently collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine nursing diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient, develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcome. SPHP practices theory based nursing that is evidenced based utilizing a shared governance model for decision –making.

The practice of the Clinical Nurse Educator I is consistent with the Nursing Professional Development: Scope and Standards of Practice (ANPD, 2016).

Education Requirements :

Has completed a baccalaureate degree in nursing, Masters preferred. Current New York State licensure as a registered professional nurse. BLS required.

Experience Requirements : 2-5 years current clinical experience. Previous educational experience preferred. National certification and membership in a professional organization preferred and expected within the first year of employment.

Pay Range: $36.50-$48.65

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
