Eaton Corporation Senior HR Business Partner in Westminster, Maryland

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Senior HR Business Partner. This is a hybrid work opportunity based at our Westminster, MD facility.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated businesses. The position formulates partnerships between the HR function and Functional teams to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of Eaton. The Sr HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500.00-$115,000.00 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide direct HR support to the business, working with Functional leadership on strategic and tactical work

  • Conducts regular meetings with respective functions to keep up to date on issues within the teams.

  • Consults with all levels of functional management, providing HR guidance when appropriate on a variety of topics

  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Assists with hiring, promotions and transfers

  • Provides guidance and input on functional workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Identifies training needs for functional team members; including coaching needs.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources function within a manufacturing environment

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation is being offered for this position. Only candidates that reside within a 50 mile radius of Westminster, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in HR discipline and/or Business Administration

  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP credentialed

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Employment branding experience and talent recruitment strategy knowledge

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of relevant local, state, federal and provincial employment laws

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proven employee relations skills with ability to successfully drive change and accountability

  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional business teams

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
