Conceptual Cost Manager

Xiamen, China

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product investigations and analyses on competitor devices – including tracking of key components, mechanical and electrical platforms

  • Facilitate teardown sessions, compile and present findings as well as driving further investigations and deep dives

  • Cost Analysis – Different degrees of cost break-downs from material cost, manufacturing cost as well as other cost of goods sold

  • Solution Benchmark – Detailed benchmark on current and future block-functions, -features, -solutions for different product and price segments

  • Similar to a Project Leader the Teardown Analyst is dependent of expertise and sources around the company thus an important task is to build up and maintain networks in different organizations to gather necessary information and knowledge

  • Create Product presentations, comparisons, analyses etc and present to mid-sized audiences

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written in English, influencing skills and an out-turned personality

  • The person preferable knows the build-up of a BT headset, TWS product, Headphones or other similar Audio/communication devices

  • Technical knowledge and skills to maneuver in a technical environment ability to conclude on technical solutions

  • All the usual computer skills is a given while advanced usage of excel and Qlik is an advantage

  • Self-motivated person with strong personal drive and a can-do attitude

  • Strong relationship builder in a multinational environment.

  • Works well in a cross cultural environment with colleagues across the globe

  • High attention to details

  • Needs to be curious about the market, products, solutions and eager to learn

  • Passionate about new technology, new product, new design with strong knowledge and sense about major market runners, leading products, and popular features.

  • Skillful on cost analysis by utilizing different costing tools, through either top-down or bottom-up methodology, zooming in to part level e.g. electricals, plastic, metal, packaging to build up and simulate right cost

  • Independent and strong ability to consolidate and abstract cost drivers from the physical parts and products across different dimensions such as technical, commercial, and industrialization etc.
